The Arts

The arts at St. Francis Xavier Preparatory School enjoy a place of prominence in school life befitting their integral role in developing the whole person.  SFXP students perform and create and in so doing expand their God-given talents and abilities.

We offer our students a comprehensive program in the visual arts which allows them to explore both studio art and art history.

In keeping with the promotion of harmony with self, with others, and with God, our programs seek to foster creativity, critical thinking skills, and a sense of sharing and cooperative work spirit within the classroom.

Over the years many St. Francis Xavier Preparatory School students have been recipients of the Scholastic Arts Awards, a prestigious, national, art competitions and exhibit.

At. St. Francis, we emphasize participation in the Performing Arts, because we want our students to become the creative persons that God made them to be! Being made “in the image and likeness of God” means that we
need to foster the creative spirit that God gives to us.

Most of the offerings, below, take place once per week in two groupings (Grades 5 & 6 together on Tuesdays, and Grades 7 & 8 together on Thursdays). All students perform twice per year at our Christmas Concert and Spring Concert.
