Spiritual Life

Life in Christ

“In order that the Catholic school may truly make its irreplaceable contribution to the Church and to the world, the goal of Catholic education itself must be crystal clear. Beloved sons and daughters of the Catholic Church, brothers and sisters in the faith: Catholic education is above all a question of communicating Christ, of helping to form Christ in the lives of others.” – St. John Paul II (1979)

This mission -- communicating Christ and forming Christ in others -- is our highest purpose. We do this through receiving the sacraments, Catholic theology classes, regular practice of Christian service,  and retreat experiences. Importantly, our teachers and staff members form strong caring relationships with students and model their faith. This gift of faith becomes a lasting testament to your JPII experience, and a gift that you can treasure in this world -- and the next.

"I decided to come to this school because I liked the opportunity to continue growing in my faith and be in a community with people of the same values as me. JPII allows us to branch out and find out who we are and where we want to go in life. The school pushes us to challenge ourselves, but not in a pushy or overwhelming way."

-Jenna Williams, ‘19

"We believe in one another. But beyond that, we believe that if we do our best and do things the right way, no matter what the outcome, we're respecting ourselves, our families, the school, and honoring our God."

-Aaron Cole, ‘20

"Everyone knows each other, so we all feel close. This school has helped me grow in my faith, and it’s great that the students encourage each other to grow in their faith by going on retreats and ECHO."

-Olivia Anastos, ‘20

"Christ is at the center of the school community, and, because of that, He remains the center of my life."

-Chris Hughes, ‘13

"I can't say how much JPII has helped me to deepen my faith with God. From where I was as a Freshman to where I am now as a Senior, it's amazing how much this school has changed my life! The JPII Community itself is just full of Christian love, support and hospitality! I feel blessed to be a part of this school! Thank you to all the teachers and staff that make this school the best school on the Cape, and for teaching Catholic education to high schoolers from all over the Cape! Roar Lions!

-Shauna Joseph, ‘15

"Through the love and guidance of my St. John Paul II teachers,  I was able to fall in love with Jesus Christ and His Church."
