Many events throughout the year encourage you and your friends to demonstrate your school pride. From Spirit Week class competitions, to the school-wide quiz bowl, to the annual Gingerbread House Competition, you’ll have fun and live the JPII experience.

The group produces a weekly news program for the school community. Students learn video production, information gathering, and on air performance as members of JPII TV.
The Math Team takes part in statewide competitions monthly and provides a great way to put your math skills to the test!
Students learn the principles of trial advocacy and then apply those principles as they try a fictitious case. Participation fosters increased self-confidence, improved analytical and speaking skills, and the ability to work well with others.
National Honor Society members are selected based on excellent scholarship, leadership, service, and character. NHS is involved in fundraisers such as Toys for Tots and the dodge-ball tournament. This group also provides peer tutoring throughout our grade 5-12 school.
Practice your trivia and subject expertise competing with other high school teams across Massachusetts.
Reach Out is our leadership organization for juniors and seniors. Reach Out assists with events and programs such as new student orientation and open house. This groups plays an important role in supporting the advancement efforts of the school.
Students in the Spanish Club will gain greater knowledge about Spanish language and culture. Activities may include viewing Spanish films, visiting ethnic restaurants, and preparing and enjoying Spanish foods.
The Student Council at St. John Paul II High School is extremely involved in the life of our school. Its mission is to help build community within the school and to serve as a liaison between the administration, teachers and students.
Through various events and fundraisers, you’ll work with fellow students to be involved with the spirit of the school and to join in community with each other. You could be a Class President, a representative from your class, or be elected to the Executive Board comprised of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.
Argue your point of view in competition! JPII is a member of the Eastern Massachusetts Speech and Debate League. This club provides students the opportunity to develop and refine analytical, critical thinking and communication skills through competitive speech and debate.
This club creates our school’s yearbook. There are many opportunities for leadership roles as editors and photographers. Applications for yearbook editor take place in the spring and students from all grades can be involved.
